Three Technical Jackets

Designed to be as practical as possible

“The whole team has worked insanely hard to come up with the designs and technical features for these jackets. It’s been a long journey but I couldn’t be more proud of what we have achieved. Compare the features on these jackets to any other outer layer on the market and prepare to hold onto your jaw.”

– David Icke, Managing Director Huntech

From the high plains of Wyoming, to the freezing wetlands of Scandinavia. From the dense bush of the Central North Island, to the barren mountain tops of the Southern Alps in New Zealand.

For two full hunting seasons, 21 samples of the Tussock Jacket, the MacKenzie Anorak and the Wetlands Jacket have been smashed in some of the harshest hunting environments on the planet.

Our team of designers have put thousands of hours into each jacket, tweaking and adjusting whenever they found room for improvement.

The result? Three state-of-the-art hunting jackets designed to tame the wild.

Waterproof

We worked closely with the US military technical lab to develop the DOR® (Durable Omni Repellent) coating and we are the first to release it to the general hunting market.

Combined with YKK AquaGuards® zips throughout the jackets, double storm flaps and a full technical analysis of water flow including mapping, tracking runoff and shedding ability, the external layer of all three jackets is tested to withstand

YKK Throughout

YKK thought we were crazy when we told them we were going to use their premium AquaGuard® zips for all the zippers including all the pockets in our jackets.

Fabric

The outer layer fabric is 100% polyester mechanical stretch peached twill which is extremely tough and highly hydrophobic. The mechanical stretch helps with movement and conformity and the peached finish helps to lessen surface abrasion noise.

Scent Control

All jackets are treated with the SILVADUR Scent Control® which significantly reduces the risk of being winded during a hunt by combating the process when bacteria turn into odor.

The Tussock Jacket

Waterproof and breathable.

The Tussock Jacket is developed for the active hunter who is taking on the hills and putting in the miles. The hunter who gets a sweat on chasing down pigs and carrying out animals and needs breathability as much as he needs waterproofness.

  • 20,179 grams/m²/24hr water vapor permeability
  • Tested to withstand 40,000+ mm of water over 24 hours
  • YKK premium AquaGuard® zips throughout
  • Military-grade DOR water repellency coating

The Wetlands Jacket

Waterproof and warm.

Designed for the duck hunter freezing his butt off in the maimai or anyone hunting in persistent, heavy rain, the Wetlands Jacket is ready to take on even the most unforgiving weather conditions.

The inner layer of the jacket is made up of a ceramic heat lining that retains heat, just like a ceramic teapot, and increases the surface temperature of the fabric by 1-2°C. If you are looking for a jacket that will keep you dry and warm, this is it.

The Mackenzie Anorak

Waterproof and breathable.

Packed with breathability features that let you dump excess heat quickly, the MacKenzie Anorak is designed for the bush-bashing, animal-carrying, mountain climbing hunter who is putting in the miles.

The lightweight and packable nature of the MacKenzie Anorak makes it a real lifesaver for the days of dodgy weather in the field – where you need to fit a waterproof and breathable outer layer into your backpack.

  • 23,357 grams/m²/24hr water vapor permeability
  • Tested to withstand 40,000+ mm of water over 24 hours
  • YKK premium AquaGuard® zips throughout
  • Military-grade DOR water repellency coating
