Promoter

This promotion is run by Huntech Outdoors (Global Velocity Group Ltd).

Promotion Period

The Mai Mai Mai competition runs from 6:00PM 15 April 2026 to 11:59PM 26 May 2026 (NZDT).

Eligibility

Open to all New Zealand residents. Entrants under 18 must have parent or legal guardian consent. Employees of Huntech Outdoors, associated brands, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

Entry Requirements

To enter, participants must do one of the following:

 Post a video or photo of their Maimai set-up to their Facebook or Instagram feed and must follow @huntechoutdoors, @clarkeboyshuntingnz, @chaseandgather, tag @huntechoutdoors, and use the hashtag #maimaimai.

Submit your video or photo entry through our website upload portal.

General Entry Conditions

Entries must be original, lawful, and must not contain unsafe, offensive, or irresponsible content. All hunting activity shown must comply with New Zealand laws and regulations. All images and video will be screened and any content consisting of, or deemed to be AI generated will be disqualified.

Judging

Entries will be judged as follows:

 Best Built Maimai is judged by @chaseandgather and is the most impressive Maimai

She'll Be Right is judged by @clarkeboyshuntingnz, and is the no frills one that will do the trick.

The People’s Choice Award will be decided by community vote on Social Media

Criteria will include but not be limited to, use of camouflage, building materials, creativity, view, and overall feel.

Prizes

Prize packs will be awarded for each category:

Best Built Maimai: up to, but not exceeding $350 NZD

People’s Choice Award: up to, but not exceeding $320 NZD

It’ll Do The Trick Award: up to, but not exceeding $220 NZD

Total Prizes will not exceed $900 NZD

Prize pack contents may vary depending on availability, size, and stock at the time of fulfillment. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

Winner Notification

Winners will be announced on Huntech Outdoors social channels and contacted via direct message. If the winner selected submitted via our entry portal, they will be contacted via email. If a winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe, Huntech reserves the right to select another winner.

Content Usage

By entering, participants grant Huntech Outdoors a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to repost, share, edit, adapt, and use submitted content for social media, website, advertising, and promotional purposes.

Liability

Huntech Outdoors is not responsible for any technical issues, lost entries, platform failures, or any injury, loss, or damage incurred through participation in the competition.

General

Entries do not need to be from the 2026 Duck Hunting season, and can be from any previous year.
Entrants who don’t have social media accounts can submit via the website.
Due to the temporary nature of social media “stories”, only entries to your feed or our website will be accepted. 
Multiple entries from entrants will be considered, but not judged as a combined entry.
The judges of each category will have the final say on the winner and will be deemed full and final.
Actively engaging with the competition; sharing, posting, and liking will help with selection in the people’s choice award.
5 non-winning entries will be selected for the People's Choice Award, and will be posted on Huntech Outdoors social media pages.
The winner of the People's Choice Award will be selected based on the highest engagement across the posts.

Huntech Outdoors reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the promotion at any time and to disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms & Conditions.
