As one of our new premium outer layers, the Tussock Jacket is developed for the active hunter who is taking on the hills and putting in the miles. The hunter who gets a sweat on chasing down pigs and carrying out animals and needs breathability as much as he needs waterproofness.
The key-feature of the Tussock Jacket is our advanced three-layer system which gives full water protection whilst still allowing you to get rid of moisture from the inside out when your body heats up.
The outer layer fabric is 100% polyester mechanical stretch peached twill which is extremely tough and highly hydrophobic. The mechanical stretch helps with movement and conformity and the peached finish helps to lessen surface abrasion noise. Coated in an exclusive military-grade DOR® (Durable Omni Repellent) to enhance the repellence of water, blood, mud, ice, oil and other liquids, the external layer is tested to withstand 40,000 mm of water over 24 hours.
Internally we have protected our exclusive Hydrotech© membrane with a micro tricot gauze layer which rounds the fabric out to a total weight of 270 grams per square meter. Combined, the three layers allow for 20,179 grams of water vapor per square meter to exit the jacket from the inside over a 24-hour period.
The independent Intertek© testing we put this jacket through shows that we have achieved world leading results when it comes to waterproofing and breathability.
At the top of the jacket an embedded ergonomic cinch system gives the hood a close contour fit and offers the wearer plenty of options to adjust for the most comfortable fit around the neck and head.
The slimline pockets on the bottom of the garment allow you to put a belt over the jacket if needed, and the two bellowed pockets on the chest can be used for storing your GPS, tracking unit, phone or other important devices.
A customized YKK AquaGuard® zip-puller make it easy to use the zipper when your hands are cold, and double-storm flaps down the centre of the jacket make sure that any water is directed away from the zipper.
Another feature is the SILVADUR™ antimicrobial technology treatment, which significantly reduces the risk of being winded during a hunt, by neutralizing odor-causing bacteria upon contact with the jacket.
